I would like to start by saying we are not professional leather workers,
but we have been using our leads at numerous shows with great success.
and we do see a need for this product, it seems to be very hard to find
hand leather leads in store or online, Secondly its really expensive to
make them on a individual basis. we buy in bulk so we are able to keep
our price comparative to most nylon types except with ours you get
leather, I make each one by hand in our house with no special tools each
lead is unique, but I do put alot of love into them working the leather
so that its as soft as possible for being new... Some may have small imperfections, and not all of them
are the exact same. We use different types of leathers, colors, and
snaps ..so check with us to see what is available. We can not guarantee
strength, however we personally have not had any break, or
to our knowledge.

-
-
Light weight
-
Easy to use
-
Small enough to be used with most
chains, yet still very strong.
-
Easily adjustable with a leather hole
punch if necessary
-
Snaps can be easily changed out, with
our Chicago screw attachment (if necessary)
(large
bucks might need a bigger snap)
-
The Leather that we use is designed
for horse reins for a more comfortable hand fit
-
Snaps at both end for quick chain and
goat changes, no more of the unscrewing of
quick links that can timing consuming when going from goat to goat
and chain to chain
class to class. which will allow for a better fitting
chain to be attached each time.
-
Smaller tighter handle, be closer to
the goat for more control and can be used
with more variety of chains (small and large). 16 inch thru 22 inch
thicker for bucks.
we normally use
a16 (does16-18in) - 22 (bucks) inch choke chain, babies 12 inch
Longer ones can be made for large bucks and Ex-large pinch collars.

and
What makes our leads different..
1. One of our favorite features is, we use Chicago screws to attach the
snaps to the leather. I think this is a good idea because if and when
your snap breaks (it will happen if you are anything like us) over the
years your lead is not ruined and can easily be repaired.
2. Our leads are made with no rough or sharp hardware. Kids, Teens and
adults have used our leads with success.
3. In our opinion our leads are made with the perfect size leather for
your hand grip. We use leather that is designed for
horse reins. It seems to be comfortable
for any size hand. It has a more natural grip yet light and still very
strong. We have found it to relieve some fatigue on your hands when you
are showing in those long shows.
4. Pliable soft leather. We work the leather ourselves to make it even
more supple and soft. We use a unique leather cream, that allows the
leather to breath and helps keep the moisture out from the sweat or your
hand so the leather will stay soft and pliable.
5. Double Snaps. With snaps at each end, changing chains, or goats is a
snap. There is no unscrewing of quick-links to make adjustments to your
lead. just unsnap and go.
6. Lastly they are priced right. For our standard leather lead that fits
most sizes of hand, choke chains and goats is only $10.00. For orders of
5 and over we will take a $1.00 off which would make them $9.00. I have
seen Nylon and Leather leads of this type from $16.00 and up.
These Leather leads can be used with most any type of chain collars,
such as pinch and regular choke chains.
We can make any size of lead, if you want a custom lead please send up
the measurements in inches from snap to snap and we can give you a
quote for that.
Full Collars can also be made with a 20 inch chain (other sizes also
available) with leather lead Please email for price
